We’re Hiring!

Seasonal Market Assistant / Brand Ambassador
Boulder Colors makes watercolor paints from locally grown food and farm waste. We sell at art markets, maker fairs, and community events around Boulder County. We are seeking a reliable, friendly team member who enjoys talking with people about art and plants to help represent the brand at occasional markets.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and run the Boulder Colors booth at local markets and events
  • Create an inviting display using provided inventory and booth materials
  • Talk with customers about the paints and process
  • Process transactions using Square
  • Track inventory and pack up the booth at the end of the event
  • Represent the brand with warmth, enthusiasm, and professionalism
You will receive paid training at your first market, where we’ll work together and I’ll walk you through everything.
After training, you’ll be able to run markets independently.

What I Provide
  • Inventory of paints
  • Six foot table, cloth, chair, sign, and tent
  • Table display setup
  • Square reader
  • Product knowledge training
  • Ongoing support

What You Provide
  • You own transportation to/from markets
  • Your own device to process transactions through the square reader (phone or tablet)
  • Basic comfort setting up a small market booth (and canopy tent for outdoor events)
  • Friendly, confident communication with customers

Pay Structure
There are multiple ways to work with Boulder Colors:
  1. Hourly Market Staff
Run markets booked by Boulder Colors.
$20–$25/hr depending on experience, with bonuses for meeting sales goals.
  2. Market Partner
Find, book, and attend markets on behalf of Boulder Colors.
Earn a negotiable percentage of sales from the events you attend.
  3. Artist Partner Booth
Watercolor artists may apply to share a booth.
Boulder Colors covers the booth fee; artists keep 100% of their art sales in exchange for helping sell and promote the paints and engaging with customers.

Ideal Candidate
  • Willing to talk to strangers about paints and plants
  • Reliable and organized
  • Interested in art, natural dyes, or handmade goods
  • Comfortable handling money and basic sales
  • Unfazed by occasional chaotic texts about paints, plants, and/or market opportunities
  • Experience with markets or retail preferred but not required!

Location
Most markets will be in Boulder County / Front Range.

Schedule
Occasional evenings, weekends, and seasonal events.

HOW TO APPLY:
Please send a brief letter of intent to AMANDA @ BOULDERCOLORS.COM, introducing yourself, how you'd like to partner with us, why you'd be a good fit to represent Boulder Colors, and what your evening and weekend availability looks looks through December 2026.
